Some 410 parrots seized in border smuggling attempt
This can't be right!! How can 410 parrots fit into five cages? 82 birds per cage? The cages were in a taxi so they can't be very big. The woman was caught moving them from taxi to bus.
This is a weird and tragic story. Weird because it appears to make no sense, tragic because so many birds were being transported [allegedly smuggled] in what must have been far from perfect conditions. Sounds horrific!

How can it be that there is even a question as to whether or not this woman will be charged with a crime? And how can anyone consider NOT seizing these birds. This is a horror beyond horrors and an outrage as well. Wish I knew enough to know what to do to get the woman prosecuted and the birds confiscated and released if they have not been too badly injured from being crammed in the so called cages.
